I get letters almost every day from grateful people who have found this blog about what to do when your screen font becomes teeny tiny, so I repost it every once in a while.
Somehow, the font on my screen had become so tiny I was hunched over my laptop to read it. Not good.
I reached out in frustration to my fellow guides at About, and learned that Ctrl + will increase the size. It was like a little miracle! Sometimes it's the small things (not fonts!) that make a person happy.
If you can't read your screen anymore and the problem isn't your glasses, try Ctrl + on a PC, Command + on a Mac.
And if you go too far and the font becomes giant, you can make it smaller with Ctrl - (PC) or Command - (Mac).

WASHINGTON (AP) ? Buzz Williams has never been this far in the NCAA tournament before, so it might take a while for him to deal with it.
The Marquette coach was just as irritable in victory as he might have been in defeat Thursday night after his Golden Eagles beat Miami 71-61 to put the school in the Elite Eight for the first time in a decade.
Williams relished the Golden Eagles' underdog status after come-from-behind wins in the subregional. But this was a dominant win over the champions of the Atlantic Coast Conference, so why the dour demeanor?
"That's a good question," he answered.
Williams then spoke of the pride and love he has in his players, how they've matured and all the works his staff does. Then the coach who doggedly worked his way up from his days as a student assistant at Navarro College got to the point.
"Because of my path to this point, I do have an edge," he said. "And I probably need to have better wisdom in how I handle that edge. But it's really delicate, because our edge is why we win."
"I'm really not good postgame," he added. "Actually, I'm really not good at all day of the game to you (reporters), my wife, my kids, because I do want to win, and I don't want to win for the outcome, I want to make sure that I and our team learn the lessons from what the day is going to give us."
Williams and the third-seeded Golden Eagles (26-8) will face No. 4 seed Syracuse in the East Regional final on Saturday, aiming for a spot in the Final Foul for the first time since the 2003 team lead by Dwyane Wade.
Marquette was knocked out in the round of 16 the past two years, and the team appeared headed for an earlier exit this year before pulling off the rallies that beat Davidson by one point and Butler by two.
This game was nothing like that. The Golden Eagles were never threatened after taking a double-digit lead in the first half. It's a good thing Vander Blue made his buzzer-beater before halftime. This time, Marquette didn't need one at the end of the game.
"It's fantastic. It feels good not to have to worry about, are you going to lose on a last-second shot or are you going to win on a last-second shot?" said Jamil Wilson, who had 16 points and eight rebounds. "To have a cushion like that, these guys played with tremendous heart, and we did it all game."
It was simple to decipher how the game was won. Marquette could shoot; Miami couldn't. The Hurricanes (29-7) had sentiment on their side, returning to the arena where coach Jim Larranaga led mid-major George Mason to the Final Four seven years ago, but they made only 35 percent of their field goals and missed 18 of 26 3-pointers.
"You ever have days where you're just out of sync or things just don't run along smoothly?" Larranaga said. "Almost like our trip over here. Our hotel is a mile and a half, it took us 45 minutes to get here. We had to go on nine different streets, weaving our way in and out of traffic and everything. And that's the way it seemed on the court. We were trying to find our way and never could. Never could get in rhythm offensively, and defensively. I don't think we communicated like we have been doing all season long."
Shane Larkin scored 14 points to lead the No. 2 seed Hurricanes, whose NCAA run to the round of 16 matched the best in school history.
"I think what we did this year was lay a foundation of what the program could be like," Larranaga said. "We're not anywhere near where I would like to be."
Marquette, meanwhile, shot 54 percent, a stark turnaround from its 38 percent rate from the first two games in the tournament. Davante Gardner added 14 points, with 12 coming in the second half when the Golden Eagles were comfortably ahead.
Blue finished with 14 points. He wasn't Marquette's leading scorer, but his offensive and defensive energy pushed the Golden Eagles to a big lead early.
He got going when he picked off a pass and converted the steal into a one-handed jam to give Marquette an 8-4 lead. His running one-hander made it 12-4. He and Junior Cadougan forced a steal, getting Larkin to commit his second foul in the process.
Blue ended the half with an exclamation point, hitting the step-back 15-footer just before the horn to give Marquette a 29-16 lead at the break. He drained the shot, strutted backward downcourt, cocked his right arm and gave Wilson a chest bump.
"We're so used to people not giving us credit. ... That fuels our fire," Blue said.
The Hurricanes couldn't sink anything. They started 2 for 12, including 0 for 6 from 3-point range, and Larkin's 3-pointer more than 11 minutes into the game was the first Hurricanes field goal scored by anyone other than Kenny Kadji.
In the second half, Blue's basket with 10:03 to play gave Marquette a 51-30 lead. The Hurricanes, who by then had started to press full court, then put together their best sequence of the night, a 7-0 run that cut the lead to 14 with 8? minutes left.
But Wilson's dunk and Gardner's inside basket stretched the lead back to 18. Gardner became the scene-stealer late, thumping his chest to the Marquette fans after a dunk in the final four minutes.
The Hurricanes played without backup center Reggie Johnson, who had surgery Tuesday for a minor knee injury. Johnson was averaging seven rebounds, but he would have helped only if he could've put the ball in the basket.
"There are only two things you have to do in basketball: One, put the ball in the basket. Two, stop the other team from putting the ball in the basket," Larranaga said. "We weren't able to do either."

SENOIA, Georgia (Reuters) - Frank Hollberg III, whose family has sold furniture in Senoia, Georgia since 1894, laughed as he recalled the odd sight of watching a man walk through the idyllic downtown holding a head in his hand.
The head was a prop and the man an actor filming "The Walking Dead," the hit zombie-themed television series that has drawn millions of fans worldwide and helped turn the small town 25 miles south of Atlanta into a thriving tourist attraction.
Senoia, pronounced "Seh-noy" by its 3,300 residents, had seen its fortunes fade after the local cotton and agricultural industries died off. But the town now boasts a retail district that grew from six to 49 businesses in half a dozen years.
Country music singer Zac Brown has opened a restaurant and live music venue on Main Street, and two home showcases by Southern Living magazine's popular "Idea House" program brought about 30,000 visitors to Senoia in 2010 and again in 2012, local officials said.
"It's been a hell of a lot of changes in this town," said Hollberg, 77. "It's a different world."
Hollberg and other locals credit most of the newfound popularity to the success of the weekly AMC cable network series. "The Walking Dead" averages 7 million U.S. viewers ages 18 to 49, making it the top-rated drama for that demographic in cable history, according to AMC.
Fans proved eager to get a behind-the-scenes look at filming in and around Senoia, which for the show's third season was transformed into the fictional town of Woodbury. The season finale airs on Sunday.
They found a town that had stopped cutting the grass and weeding the flower beds to foster an authentic post-apocalyptic setting, said Mayor Robert Belisle. Stores displayed zombie-themed T-shirts next to baby clothes and home decor items.
BUSINESS BOOMING
Some natives grumbled about having to jockey for parking spaces, but many business owners said they were happy to accommodate the show and its fans.
"When your sales are up 40 percent over the same month last year, it must be a good thing," said store owner Jim Preece. "Our Christmas was phenomenal."
The guest book by Preece's register logs signatures of visitors who traveled to Senoia from across the United States, as well as Europe, Asia and the Caribbean.
The tourist traffic continued after the cameras stopped rolling, business owners said, aided by fan websites that direct visitors to specific filming spots for each episode.
Brian Holland, a heating and air service technician who lives in Columbus, Georgia, runs the Walking Dead Locations website as a hobby. He said people email him daily asking for help planning their trips.
"It started out as me running around on Saturdays taking pictures of places we'd seen on the show, to talking to people all over the world," said Holland, 40.
One recent weekday, show fans ranging from teenagers to retirees posed for pictures by the fake Woodbury town hall and bank and bought "Zombie Dark" coffee from the cafe that serves as the Woodbury Coffee House on the show.
"My daughter is going to be extremely jealous," said Ted Molnar, 60, who drove two hours from LaFayette, Georgia, with his wife to check out the show's backdrop. A sticker on their van read, "When the zombies come, I'll be ready."
The series has "forever redefined this town," said Scott Tigchelaar, a developer and president of Raleigh Studios - Atlanta, a film company whose 120-acre property in Senoia serves as home base for the show's production.
"'Walking Dead' to Senoia is like 'Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil' to Savannah," he said, referring to the best-selling 1994 novel set in the picturesque Georgia city and made into a movie directed by Clint Eastwood.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Georgia has enticed the film and TV industry to towns across the state with generous tax incentives and dozens of direct flights each day between Atlanta and Los Angeles, he said.
The state hosted 333 films, TV productions and music videos between July 2011 and June 2012, generating nearly $880 million in direct spending by the entertainment industry, according to the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office.
Senoia is not paid for the filming, leaving local leaders to find other ways to capitalize on the spotlight while preserving the town's historic charm.
The downtown development authority installed sidewalk plaques to highlight some of the two dozen movies and TV series that have filmed in Senoia, including "Fried Green Tomatoes", "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Drop Dead Diva".
Tigchelaar, a Canada native whose development company has restored much of the downtown, said he and his brother-in-law bought a trolley to give tours of various film locations starting this spring.
A store with licensed merchandise for "The Walking Dead" is set to open when production resumes in May and, later this year, developers expect to break ground on a boutique hotel.
"Ten years ago to talk about a four-star hotel in Senoia, people probably would have laughed me out of town," Tigchelaar said. "Today, it's feasible."

Today we're going to discuss how you can build your business for free using Twitter. Twitter has grown to be one of the largest social media networks on the internet, and is actively visited by celebrities and high-profile people.
If you want to put Twitter to work for your business, you first need to create an account on Twitter. Register for free and upload a picture and a short description of yourself or your business. Make sure you include your main website in your bio.
Next thing you want to do is to write and post around 20 tweets. This is so your account doesn't look empty when people visit it to check if you are "follow-worthy".
All right, now that you got an account you need to get yourself a good Twitter client so that you don't have to use the normal Twitter interface (which kinda sucks.)
I strongly recommend that you Google "HootSuite", which is a free website that manages your Twitter account.
Spend some time getting yourself familiar with HootSuits interface, and then setup your "columns" over there like this:
Column #1: Sent tweets
This is your tweet stream. Keep this one handy to know what you just said.
Column #2: Mentions
It will track who is mentioning you and replying to your tweets. It's important to respond to these occasionally and to respond to them quickly. This will ensure that the people you interact with visit your profile and start following you.
Column #3: Influencers list
It's important to know who your influencers are and what they are tweeting, so you can get on their radar. You could follow your influencers, but I don't like to until there's been some interaction.
Instead, I use private lists, the Twitter-feature to keep tabs.
Here's how to set them up in HootSuite:
Step 1: Click on "Add Stream."
Step 2: From the pop-up menu, select "Lists."
Step 3: Select your profile from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Select the "Create a New List" radio button.
Step 5: Name the list "Influencers."
Step 6: Add a description (optional).
Step 7: Click the "Add Stream" button.
Step 8: Once the stream is added, click the triangle on the top of the column.
Step 9: From the drop-down, select "Preferences."
Step 10: Add users to your list by typing in their usernames and clicking "Add."
Make sure to set this list as "private", otherwise everyone can see it, and it will notify who ever's on the list.
Column #4: Scheduled tweets
I use this column to keep tabs on what I've scheduled ahead of time to know what's coming and if I need to add more tweets or perhaps adjust my Tweet Schedule.
Column #5: My tweets, retweeted
The My Tweets, ReTweeted column shows you who is retweeting your tweets.
Column #6: Search filters
The best thing about HootSuite is that you can monitor search results in real-time. We're going to save those in the next set of columns.
My next step, while interacting with Twitter influencers is courting potential followers. It's also stupid simple. All I did was monitor the real-time keyword and hashtag searches I setup earlier, and reply to people's tweets. Most of the time it was answering questions, but I found an insightful comment or even an encouraging message beneficial.
As soon as you see something interesting in the real-time search column, be sure to answer it. Do this every day for 30-60 minutes and you will gather a large following of twitter fans in no time.
After that you can just post links to your website in between all the cool "normal" things that you tweet to your followers. Also, make sure that you track the traffic coming to your site from Twitter, so that you know how many visitors you are getting from your efforts. Try this and you will start to see visitors coming to your website from Twitter every time you post a tweet that includes a link back to your website.

BEIRUT (AP) ? Mortar shells crashed into an outdoor cafe at Damascus University on Thursday, killing at least 10 students in the deadliest of a rising number of mortar attacks in the heart of the Syrian capital.
The strikes have escalated as rebels fighting to topple President Bashar Assad try to enter the city, terrifying civilians whose support the opposition needs to advance its cause.
It was unclear who fired the rounds. The government blamed "terrorists," its blanket term for those fighting Assad's regime. Anti-regime activists accused the regime of staging the attack to turn civilians against the rebels.
Mortar strikes on Damascus are relatively new in Syria's crisis, which began in March 2011 with protests calling for Assad's ouster, then evolved into a civil war. The U.N. says more than 70,000 have been killed in the conflict.
Since last month, mortar shells have hit previously safe parts of the capital with increasing frequency. The near-daily strikes have frightened residents, and many have begun to avoid open areas and put plastic on their windows to help block flying glass from an explosion or shrapnel.
Some shells appear aimed at government targets, such as one of Assad's palaces and the general command of the Syrian army. Others have hit near civilian targets, including the Sheraton Hotel and a soccer stadium, both on the city's west side. Mortar shells also have struck in areas to the east, like the Christian neighborhood of Bab Touma.
Thursday's strike was the deadliest yet.
State-run Al-Ikhbariya TV showed video of the university cafe where blood pooled on tiles and plastic chairs and pens and eyeglasses littered the area. Later video showed people being treated in a hospital, including a woman with white bandages around her head and a man whose back was peppered with shrapnel wounds.
The dining facility belongs to the Faculty of Architecture in Damascus's central Baramkeh district.
State TV said 15 people were killed in the strike, but the official news agency, SANA, put the death toll at 10 and said dozens were wounded. It also reported three other mortar strikes nearby.
The opposition activist group, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, put the death toll at 13.
Similar mortar attacks on Tuesday killed at least three people and wounded dozens. Six people were killed by mortar shells in different parts of the city on March 11.
"No one anywhere in the world can imagine a more criminal act than this," SANA quoted Amer al-Mardini, the president of the university, as saying. He said he hoped the wounded would heal quickly and "resume their studies as soon as possible."
Anti-regime activists accused the regime of launching the attack to tarnish the opposition's image.
Elizabeth O'Bagy, who studies the Syrian rebels at the Institute for the Study of War, said it was not possible to determine who was behind the attack, but it appeared to fit the regime's pattern of escalation. In other aspects of the war, such as the use of airstrikes or Scud missiles, the regime has gone from trying to target rebels to more indiscriminate attacks on civilians, she said.
"Because of the fact that it does follow regime behavior, it is more likely to be a regime attack," she said, while acknowledging it could also have been a rebel misfire.
Rebels have established footholds in a number of Damascus suburbs but have only been able to push into limited areas in the south and northeast parts of the capital. The government has retained its grip of downtown Damascus, although the mortar strikes have deepened fear among many residents that they will soon see the violence that has damaged many other Syrian cities.
Thursday was not the first time Syria's universities have been targeted. On Jan. 15, twin blasts hit Aleppo University, killing more than 80 people. The opposition said the regime had bombed the university, while the government accused rebels of striking it with rockets.
Also Thursday, Ghassan Hitto, the newly elected prime minister of the main opposition bloc, said he was reviewing candidates for a planned rebel interim government. It will be a service-oriented administration with nine to 12 ministries and will be based inside Syria, Hitto said during a meeting with Syrian expats in Qatar.
Syria's conflict threatens to destabilize neighboring countries, where more than 1 million refugees have fled to escape the violence.
In Jordan, on Syria's southern border, a riot broke out Thursday in a refugee camp after Jordanian authorities refused to let buses full of refugees return to Syria because of violence over the border. U.N. refugee liaison Ali Bibi said it was unclear how many refugees were involved in the melee at the Zaatari camp, but no one was injured.
To the north, Turkey denied reports that it was deporting hundreds of Syrian refugees for rioting on Wednesday in a camp in Akcakale after a fire killed a 7-year-old child. A camp official said local authorities identified 300 people involved in the uprising and prepared to deport them, but the government stopped them.
A Foreign Ministry official said 100 refugees asked to leave the camp and return to Syria on their own.
The U.N. refugee agency did not confirm the reports, but said it was concerned about possible deportations of refugees.
In Israel, on Syria's southeastern border, the military said it was beefing up medical teams along the border because of several cases of wounded Syrians crossing the frontier for medical care. Eleven Syrians have been treated in Israeli hospitals, including one who died from his wounds on Wednesday, a military official said. Others returned home after their conditions improved.
All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief reporters.

Google Analytics’ real-time feature is very useful for those who don’t need more specialized tools like Chartbeat or Woopra, but still want to get a basic overview of what’s happening on their site right now. Compared to the breadth of features Analytics offers, though, it’s still a very limited tool. Today, however, Google is making a few changes to Analytics’ real-time reports that make it a more powerful and easier to use service. Analytics, for example, now also shows you a breakdown of how many of your current visitors are on a desktop, tablet or on their phone. The main feature of this update, however, is the addition of event reports. Google Analytics’ event reporting takes a bit of extra work to set up and is also a major part of the new Universal Analytics feature the company launched as a public beta last week. This feature allows developers to create custom events for interactions that go beyond just loading a site, including downloads, video plays, ad clicks and other actions a developer might want to track on a site. Starting today, website owners can track these events in realtime, too. This, Google says, means “you can now not only see the top events as they occur but also filter on particular event categories (and actions).” With this update, Analytics also introduces shortcuts for real-time segments, so if you just want to see what your U.S. visitors on smartphones are doing on the site right now, you can create this segment and easily recall it from the Google Analytics sidebar.
